Snake Brain attempts to raise awareness about the harmful effects of a culture that promotes behaviors that increase the risks of developing addictions, particularly alcoholism. In Snake Brain, instead of chasing after orbs or apples, the snake has to consume cans of beer. As the player consumes drinks, the life meter falls. Trash cans appear so that the player can vomit and proceed playing. As the number of drinks consumed rises, the maneuverability of the snake character diminishes, and the screen becomes blurry. Over the course of the game, the sound effects transition from happy or silly sounds that encourage drinking to angry and depressed noises that begin to uncover the darker truths of addiction.[/vc_column_text][diagram type=”circle” title=”skills utilized”][skill title=”creative coding” amount=”70″ color=”#ffff00″]
