Serenity Scarf

Serenity Scarf

Serenity Scarf is a scarf designed for people who suffer from alcoholism. Alcoholism and addiction have been found to be caused by neurological “wiring” in the “old brain”, sometimes referred to as reptile brain. Serenity Scarf’s snake-like appearance is meant to represent this part of the brain.

Serenity Scarf is equipped with a GPS programmed with the coordinates of nearby Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings. When within range of a meeting place, Serenity Scarf’s vibration motor buzzes to the rhythm of the first line of the Serenity Prayer – the opening and closing statement at every AA meeting. In addition to the subtle vibration, Serenity Snake’s eyes change color with the vibrations – blue for serenity, pink for courage, and yellow for wisdom – the pillars of the Serenity Prayer.
